Later this month, Xiaomi will unveil its latest Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro tablets in the Chinese market. The two tablets have been the subject of numerous leaks and rumors. The Chinese tech giant has begun teasing the upcoming tablets and the latest teasers confirm their chipset, battery, and display specifications.
Specs:
Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets are expected to launch on April 18. Both devices will come with mid-range specifications, with the Pro model offering premium features from the get-go. According to the latest teasers, the vanilla Pad 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC. In reality, this chipset is just a rebranded Snapdragon 865 found on last year’s Pad 5 Pro.
Xiaomi’s Pad 6 Pro will feature last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which powers many mid-range devices introduced this year. The upcoming tablet series will also feature a 144 Hz display with 309 PPI and 2.8K resolution. It’s unclear whether either slate will come with an 11-inch panel, but it’s possible.
Moreover, Xiaomi claims that the Pad 6 series will feature a massive 8,600mAh dual-cell battery that will last up to 47.9 days in standby mode. A fast wired charging capability of 67W will be supported by the tablets. Wireless charging is unlikely on either device.
