The Xiaomi Mix 5 has once again become a topic of discussion following rumors that went quiet last year. The MIX 5 was originally scheduled to launch in 2022, but was canceled for unknown reasons. The highly anticipated device may, however, launch in 2023, according to a recent report.
According to DCS, a live image of the Xiaomi MIX 5 has surfaced on Weibo courtesy of popular tipster DCS. The device features a boxy build with symmetrical bezels and an under-display camera that deviates from Xiaomi’s usual design scheme.
It is interesting to note that the MIX 5 resembles the recently released Red Magic 8 Pro gaming smartphone. Based on the antenna lines being in exactly the same places, it is highly likely that this is indeed a Red Magic 8 Pro. If this is the real thing, it could feature the following specifications.
Specs:
The Xiaomi MIX 5 is expected to be equipped with impressive specifications, as revealed by tipster DCS on Weibo. It is expected to have a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. In addition to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the MIX 5 is rumored to have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It will also come with a large 4820mAh battery to keep it running all day. Moreover, the MIX 5 will run MIUI 14, based on Android 13. The MIX 5 appears to be a powerful and capable device that could be worth the wait.
