Some version of the vivo T2 is back from the dead. According to the Geekbench 5 database, a phone with the model number V2240 will launch on April 11 (Tuesday) in India.
The vivo T2 is different from the one that was expected to launch in China before being delayed. There will be a lower-powered version that uses a chipset code-named “Holi” – Qualcomm seems to be using this for both Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 480.
The 695 uses the newer A78 cores instead of the older A76 cores, making it slightly more powerful. According to Geekbench 5, this is the Snapdragon 695 – phones with this chip usually score 600-700 points, while the older big CPU in the 480 usually scores 500-600. There is no speed demon in either chip. Anyhow, this particular unit had 6GB of RAM, although other configurations are possible.
According to Flipkart, both the T2 and T2x will feature FHD+ AMOLED displays with 1,300 nits peak brightness, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a high refresh rate (probably 120Hz). Up until the full reveal on April 11, more details will be revealed on April 7, 9 and 11.
