Earlier today, we learned that Samsung’s Galaxy Watch6 family will bring back the rotating bezel that was last found on the Galaxy Watch4 Classic and skipped a generation with the Watch5 Pro.
It looks like Samsung’s wearables are going to be even better this year. A new rumor suggests that the Galaxy Watch6 series will be powered by an Exynos W980 chipset. It is expected to be more than 10% faster than the Exynos W920 that powers the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch5.
It’s definitely nice to have an improved SoC, especially since something like this wasn’t included in the Galaxy Watch5 line last year compared to the Galaxy Watch4 line.
Moreover, Samsung’s new Exynos W980 might be fabricated on a 5nm process, which could result in improved battery life for the upcoming wearables it’ll power.
There will also be a larger and higher-resolution screen, thinner bezels, and larger batteries on the Galaxy Watch6. Especially for those looking to upgrade from the Galaxy Watch4 generation, these updates are looking very good.
