Spec details on the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have finally been released after yesterday’s Galaxy Tab S9+ renders. According to Ice Universe, the Tab Ultra’s physical dimensions will remain nearly the same as those of its predecessor. This device measures 326.4 x 208.6 x 5.5mm like the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra but weighs 11 grams more at 737 grams.
It will feature the same 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1848 x 2960 px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate as the Tab S9 Ultra. Additionally, the leaks confirmed the Tab S9 Ultra’s battery capacity will remain unchanged at 11,200 mAh, and charging speeds will remain at 45W.
It will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Together with its siblings, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will be IP68 water and dust resistant, a first for the Galaxy Tab line outside of Tab Active.
Design:
The front of the device has a large display with just enough bezel for grip, but it still looks sleek. As for the rear, the Galaxy Tab S9+ features a larger horizontal bar than the current generation model, but otherwise, it looks similar. Moreover, it appears that the upcoming model will have more robust cameras since the camera modules themselves are quite a bit larger.
There’s a quad-speaker setup and a USB-C charging port on board. On one edge, there are pogo pins that could be used for new accessories. As for dimensions, it doesn’t appear that much will change, with the upcoming model measuring 285.4 mm x 185.4 mm x 5.64 mm. It is nearly identical to the Galaxy Tab S8+.
