Xiaomi’s smartphone lineup is continuously growing. The company offers a variety of models at different price points to cater to a wide audience. As a result, Xiaomi has recently launched the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and is now counting down the days until the launch of its ultimate flagship, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. CEO and Founder Lei Jun teased a camera grip accessory in a Weibo post that could turn the device into a point-and-shoot.

Despite the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s advanced camera system, a recent teaser suggests an innovative accessory that could redefine smartphone photography. Xiaomi CEO and Founder, Lei Jun, unveiled a camera grip on his Weibo account that could allow users to use the Xiaomi 13 Ultra as a more ergonomic point-and-shoot camera.

This upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra aims to continue Xiaomi’s legacy of pushing the envelope in smartphone photography. The device is expected to feature four 50MP rear cameras, including a standout 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with variable aperture.

Xiaomi has now hinted at an inventive camera grip accessory, adding to the excitement. In Lei Jun’s post, it appears that the accessory is designed to enhance the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera-like appearance and functionality. There is a dedicated shutter button on the grip, which further streamlines the photography experience.

Because of the device’s top-heavy design, holding it in landscape orientation requires two hands. Xiaomi’s newly teased camera grip for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra could solve this problem, making extended photography sessions more comfortable and convenient.
