A new foldable smartphone, supposedly called the Vivo X Fold 2, is rumored to be in development by Vivo. A number of specifications have already leaked, and the phone is expected to be released in the first half of 2023. AnTuTu benchmark has also shown the phone’s performance recently.
Vivo’s upcoming foldable smartphone, with model number PD2266, is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The listing also confirms that the Chinese market version will feature Origin OS 3. Android 13 will be pre-installed on the device. Funtouch OS 13 is expected to be installed on the phone if it launches globally.
On AnTuTu, the Vivo X Fold 2 scored an impressive 13,18,092 points. The phone scored 2,88,246 points on the CPU and GPU tests, respectively, and 2,56,004 and 1,93,860 points on the Memory and UX tests. Not just among foldable phones, but among the top-performing smartphones overall.
Additional specifications of the X Fold 2 have also been revealed in previous leaks. In addition to the 4800mAh battery, the device is expected to support 120W fast charging. With its 8-inch foldable display, it is expected to boast E6 AMOLED technology along with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is also rumored that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
