A new tablet model is on the way from Vivo, which will be the successor to its original Pad tablet. An official announcement of the Vivo Pad 2 has yet to be made, but a new leak has revealed some of its key specifications.
We previously reported on the Vivo Pad 2 appearing on the Google Play Supported Devices List. The tablet’s model number is PA2373. This device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The latest leak from Digital Chat Station, however, suggests otherwise. According to the leak, the Chinese tech giant’s Pad 2 model will be equipped with the high-end Dimensity 9000 chip from MediaTek.
Vivo Pad 2 will sport a taller 12-inch IPS LCD panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate, compared to the original Vivo Pad model with an 11-inch IPS LCD panel. The display will likely have a high resolution similar to its predecessor’s 2560 x 1600px. Additionally, the tipster claims that the upcoming flagship tablet will be powered by a large battery pack, but did not reveal its exact capacity.
Its predecessor ran on a massive 8,040mAh battery, so its successor should have a similar capacity. A quad-speaker system for improved audio is expected to return as well. There was a dual camera setup on the back, which could be upgraded or have a higher camera sensor count.
