Samsung is taking its flagship smartphone game to a whole new level with the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra. Next year’s top-notch Galaxy device will feature a display that refreshes at 144Hz, making it the first Galaxy device to feature such a fast refresh rate.
Gaming enthusiasts will benefit from the smooth animations offered by the 144Hz refresh rate display, which can handle a higher and faster load while maintaining speedy performance. In recent years, smartphones have increasingly featured displays with faster refresh rates, with some devices boasting refresh rates as high as 240Hz.
The Galaxy S24 series may feature satellite connectivity, similar to what Apple and Huawei offer. Samsung has yet to introduce this feature to its mobile lineup, but the head of the company’s MX (Mobile Experience) unit has indicated they are considering it.
The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which should offer significant performance improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. For the 2024 flagship series, the X-4 High-Performance CPU core will be clocked up to 15% faster than the overclocked X-3 core used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
In addition, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to feature an improved 200MP primary camera and enhanced zoom capabilities for the telephoto camera. It’s important to note that these are all just rumors at this point, and we won’t know for sure what the Galaxy S24 series offers until it’s released.
