There have been rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE surfacing on the web for quite some time. Samsung’s new Fan Edition variant of the Galaxy S series seems to be confusing the rumor mill. Reports claim that Samsung has canceled plans to launch a new FE smartphone. On the other hand, some reports speculated that the phone would launch soon. A Korean blog claims that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will launch later this year, adding to the confusion.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 FE later this year. A new report suggests that the launch will take place in Q4 2023. According to the Sisa Journal report, Samsung will launch the FE variant of its flagship to fill in the gap between the Galaxy A54 and the flagship S23. Since Samsung ditched the Galaxy A7x series, there won’t be a Galaxy A74 5G later this year.
A final version of the product has been completed and the company is now working with partners to obtain parts for production. In the third quarter of 2023, mass production of the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to begin.
According to the report, the Galaxy S23 FE will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is possible that Qualcomm might launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC by then, even though the chipset is a flagship-grade SoC.
There is also a triple-camera setup on the back of the Galaxy S23 FE. There are no details about the camera specifications in the report. However, the Galaxy S23 FE will have an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
