Later this year, Google will launch the Pixel 8 series. Tensor chips are expected to be included in the new flagship-grade devices. According to a new report, these new chips may be modified versions of Samsung chipsets.
This year, Samsung chose Qualcomm Snapdragon processors over its proprietary Exynos chips in its premium Galaxy S23 series. According to a new rumor, the Exynos 2300 SoC may take on a new form. According to reports, Google will use a modified version of the Exynos 2300 for its next generation of Tensor processors.
Therefore, Samsung appears to have quietly been developing the Exynos 2300 despite not making it official. A new flagship-grade Exynos process codenamed Quadra is still being worked on by Samsung’s semiconductor division. The Tensor 3 chipset might be based on Quadra. Exynos 2300 will have four Cortex A715 cores clocked at 2.65GHz, four efficient Cortex A510 cores clocked at 2.1GHz, and a Cortex X3 prime core with a maximum clock speed of 3.09GHz.
These are the only details based on recent rumors. Tensor chips are also said to be based on Samsung’s 4nm process, indicating that both companies are working closely to develop chips. Stay tuned for more updates as we will provide more information as it becomes available.
