A new leak shows out the front glass panels for the iPhone 15 series. Here are closer looks at the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max panels, all of which have the Dynamic Island pill-shaped cutout for the selfie cam and FaceID sensors.
Compared to the regular iPhone 15, the Pro models have noticeably slimmer bezels – probably due to reusing the 14 Pro panels.
Apparently, the panels for the Pro models will have 2.5D arc edges with increased curvature, according to Chinese blogs. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will both have flat screens, but their thinner and curved borders will make the application of screen protectors a bit more challenging. The frame borders are reduced by about 0.5mm, based on speculation.
iPhone 15 Series Renders:
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 will be the cheapest of the new iPhones coming in September. New CAD images of the upcoming 2023 iPhone have leaked online. According to 9to5Mac, the biggest change on the upcoming iPhone is the bottom panel. Instead of Apple’s proprietary Lightning Port, Apple will now use a USB Type-C port. Despite EU law mandating standard USB Type-C ports for phones and many other electronic items, Apple confirmed that it will comply. It has been reported that Apple will not allow all USB Type-C cables to work with the iPhone, but just those that are MFI-certified.
Similarly to the previous iPhone 15 Pro renders, the camera bump on the back is expected to be thicker. Apple might introduce the 15 Pro with larger camera sensors even though the device is likely to have a 48MP triple-camera setup. Additionally, there is a LiDAR sensor and an LED flash.
Unlike the vanilla variant, the volume rockers on the 15 Pro seem to be capacitive instead of mechanical. The upcoming iPhone Pro models may no longer have buttons, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to the new CAD images, the iPhone 15 will also feature Dynamic Island, which was introduced last year with the iPhone 14 Pro. Apparently, the Dynamic Island on the front will feature the same 48MP camera as last year.
