This month, Realme introduced the GT Neo 5 with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and the world’s fastest charging technology. According to Chinese reports, the company is working on a slightly downgraded phone, probably called the GT Neo 5 SE or GT Neo 5 Lite.
Digital Chat Station reports that the phone will feature the still-unannounced Qualcomm SM7475 chip, rumored to be a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. There will also be no 50MP camera with Sony IMX890 sensor and no RGB notification light on the back, allowing for a significant price cut.
New GT Neo 5 Lite will have a 64MP camera with Omnivision OV64M sensors, which are also yet to be announced. The camera island will also lose its transparent window, which shows the Snapdragon chipset, and make room for a basic setup.
The Realme GT Neo 5 duo’s biggest selling point is its charging capacity (240W and 150W). In the context of GT Neo 5 phones, the upcoming version has a 5,500mAh battery with “just” 100W charging, which might seem slow but is still a fast standard.
