POCO has just announced the launch date of its upcoming C55 smartphone in India. A few weeks ago, the company confirmed that the handset will arrive on the Indian market, and now it has revealed its official release date.
According to the latest official tweet, POCO C55 will be launched in India on 21st February 2023. It is a budget-grade smartphone from the company’s C series. It is expected that the C55 will feature a dual camera setup on the back based on what we know so far. In addition to the camera module, there will also be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
A leather-like back panel has also been hinted at in previous teasers. While the company has yet to reveal any finer details regarding the C55, this model will likely be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C with a new rear design. It is likely that the internal specifications are similar, if not the same. Redmi 12C was launched in China in January and features a 6.71-inch HD+ display and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
