Today (7th February 2023) marked the debut of the OnePlus Ace 2. The company also unveiled a rebranded Nord Buds 2 model alongside the new smartphone, which is the Buds Ace.
Despite having a similar design to its predecessor, the Nord Buds or Buds N, the Buds Ace offers various improvements. This device incorporates ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) technology. In addition to this, the Chinese smartphone maker also includes a 12.4mm dynamic audio driver for strong bass. The AAC codec is the only option supported by truly wireless earbuds.
A 47ms ultra-low latency mode is even available with the OnePlus Buds Ace thanks to Bluetooth 5.3. With the charging case, the new earbuds offer up to 36 hours of battery life. When ANC is enabled, the battery life drops to around 27 hours. With just 10 minutes of charging, the new earbuds can play music for up to 5 hours.
There is no wireless charging feature on the OnePlus Buds Ace case. There are also dual microphones and AI call noise reduction features, as well as IP55 sweat and water resistance, touch controls, and a voice assistant. Currently, the Buds Ace comes in two color options, namely Black and White. On 13th February 2023, the earbuds will go on sale in China for a price of 249 Yuan (Rs.3,100/-).
