The Moto Edge 30 series was launched in March 2022, with different models running different segments’ chipsets. As leaks regarding the successor models are now appearing, it appears that the company is working on them.
Google Play Console revealed the front-side render and some specs of the upcoming Motorola Edge 40 Pro this morning.
Last week, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro appeared in Geekbench’s database, and now it appears in Google Play’s Console. With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 12GB RAM, and 1080p display, it will be a flagship-class smartphone.
Motorola will introduce the Edge 40 Pro as a global version of the already official Moto X40 in China. Even the stock wallpaper on the phone matches the official Motorola website images, and we can see the 2.5D curved sides and the centered punch hole.
Google Play Console listing confirms Edge 40 Pro will support Google Services; that’s why it appears there. The device will also run Android 13 out of the box. Motorola will announce a possible launch window in an update soon.
As for specifications, the Moto X40 features the same chipset and display, a 4600mAh battery, 125W wired charging support, a triple camera setup on the back, and a 60MP front-facing camera.
