Due to ongoing chip shortages and increased demand for its flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung skipped the Galaxy S22 FE last year. South Korean media outlet The Elec reports that the Fan Edition series will return in 2023 with the Galaxy S23 FE launching around August/September.
Samsung’s Galaxy FE series was popular in 2020 with over 10 million shipments of the Galaxy S20 FE. After such a well-received device, Samsung reconsidered its FE lineup releases going forward after the Galaxy S21 FE did not do so well.
Last year, the affordable Galaxy S lineup was discontinued. For targeted consumers, this information is good news.
Samsung will skip the Galaxy A74 in favor of launching the S23 FE in more markets, according to a new report. It is likely that Samsung will trim the A7-series from its Galaxy A-series lineup.
There is little information available about the next-generation Galaxy S Fan Edition smartphone. Perhaps it’ll be powered by the yet-to-be-released Exynos 2300 processor.
There will be a choice between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy or the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for 2022 on the upcoming FE phone.
