The Xiaomi 12S Ultra flagship phone became the world’s first smartphone with a 1-inch camera sensor in July 2022. Currently, the device is exclusive to China, but the next Ultra model, tentatively called Xiaomi 13 Ultra, will be available worldwide.
According to multiple reports, it will be revealed in Q2 2023. Some rumors have suggested that the launch may have been delayed. A Chinese tipster has shared info indicating the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch in April at the latest, according to a new report (via TechGoing).
It features 16GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage in its highest configuration on the engineering prototype. The final version of the device will likely have the same features.
According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s price remains the same as that of the previous generation, which implies a starting price of 5,999 Yuan (Rs.73,500/-).
A Redmi event is also scheduled for April in China, according to the tipper. It is unclear, however, what devices will be unveiled through it. According to the publication, the event could be the launch of the Redmi Note 12T series. Redmi announced the Redmi Note 11 series in October 2021, and the Redmi Note 11T Pro lineup in May 2022. The Redmi Note 12T Pro series could be coming in April since the brand announced the Note 11 series in October 2022.
