The Xiaomi 13 series was recently announced on the Chinese market. It is likely that the company will unveil its premium flagship model, the 13S Ultra, along with these models soon for global markets.
Today (10th January 2023), Xiaomi announced that the 13 series, which includes the base and higher-end Pro variants, would launch globally during MWC 2023. During Mobile World Congress, brands take the stage to announce their new products, mainly smartphones, and related technologies. Barcelona will also host the upcoming event.
An image poster shared by the brand recently revealed that the company plans to announce new technologies at MWC 2023 Barcelona. Xiaomi did not specify what these new technologies are, however. It is also rumored that the company will announce its Ultra model at this event as well. Usually, the brand releases a new flagship phone later in the year following its high-end numbered series launch.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra was unveiled after the 12 series was released last year. It is therefore likely that the 13S Ultra will launch as its successor. A new Leica camera technology will likely be featured in this model, which was the focus of last year’s model.
