It’s been a great day for Samsung leaks – the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ appeared earlier, and now we have the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Additionally, the new source confirms the previous leak.
Design:
Just looking at these renders, it’s almost impossible to tell that this isn’t the S22 Ultra. Yet, it isn’t. Three of the camera circle ‘islands’ on the S23 Ultra appear to protrude more than the other two. In addition, the front looks flatter, so the radius of the curves has been further tightened; the Ultra was already boxy, but now it’s even more so.
This time Samsung has also added the S-Pen slot on the bottom of the device similar to the Note series. The new Galaxy S22 Ultra features a curved bezel-less center punch-hole display on the front. There are slightly thick bezels protecting the display on the top as well as the bottom.
The power button along with the volume rockers is placed on the right. The Galaxy S22 Ultra might come with a metal & glass design giving it a premium touch. It weighs over 233g & measures 8.9mm thick. It comes in four colors Black, Violet, Green, or Cream colors.
Specs:
The device sports 6.8 inches QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO 2.0 curved display with the same 1750nits of brightness. The device also comes with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top. The new Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with lower 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a 200MP HP2 main sensor coupled with OIS and SuperClear Lens tech. Using the new lens should reduce glare and reflections, while also improving the resolution of the sensor. There is a 12MP f/2.2 aperture ultra-wide sensor with Dual Pixel AF along with a dual 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 & f/4.9 aperture, OIS, 3x & 10x optical zoom. It also supports 12-bit HDR recording.
There is a 12MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It comes with S-pen support and packs a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charge & 10W reverse wireless charge. It runs on Android 13 with One UI 5.1 on top.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with standard connectivity options like Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, VoLTE, 5G, UWB, Wifi 6x, NFC, USB Type-C port, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner support. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will also have support for water and dust resistance as it has got an IP68 rating.
It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s base variant will cost around $1,950 (Rs.1,58,500/-).
