In comparison to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will feature various improvements. The next-gen flagship may also come with a new and improved cooling system, according to a new report.

The GeekBench listing for the entire Samsung Galaxy S23 series was leaked just a few days ago, which showcased the performance of the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. There were, however, some discrepancies in this listing. Single-core tests showed similar results to other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors, but multi-core tests showed lower results. Due to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s overclocking potential and CPU throttling concerns, this is odd.

According to AndroidHeadlines, the latest GeekBench test for the Galaxy S23 Ultra scored 5,179 points. It meant that the South Korean tech giant fixed whatever was causing the performance to lag. When the chip gets too hot, throttling typically results in a decline in CPU performance. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will actually feature a more robust thermal management system, according to tipster @AhmedQwaider888 on Twitter.

According to reports, the Galaxy S23 will have 1.6 times better cooling than the Galaxy S22. Likewise, the Galaxy S23+ will have 2.8 times better cooling than the Galaxy S22+. Additionally, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a cooling system that is 2.3 times better than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Consequently, the company will be able to reduce thermal throttling issues for longer sustained performance.
