The Redmi Note 12 series made its international debut at a big event in India today. The Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ that will be sold in India are identical to their Chinese counterparts.
During the launch event for the Redmi Note 12 Series 5G, Xiaomi hinted at the possibility of an LTE-only Redmi Note 12.
Redmi Note 12 5G:
It features a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
An LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage are included with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. Based on Android 12, it runs MIUI 13. On the rear, it features a 48MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP camera on the front.
It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Among its connectivity options are dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C.
Additionally, the device features a 5,000mAh battery and support for 33W fast charging.
Pricing:
The device will be available in Green & Black colors. Redmi Note 12 with 4GB+128GB cost Rs.17,999/-& Rs.19,999/- for the 6GB+128GB in India. In combination with bank discounts and exchange offers, the effective price is Rs. 15,499 and Rs. 17,499.
It will go on sale via Amazon right from Jan 11 in India.
Redmi Note 12 Pro series:
The new Redmi Note 12 Pro & Note 12 Pro+ will sport 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a peak brightness of 900 nits and supports 10-bit colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+.
Both the devices are powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space. Here comes the change where the three devices get different pairs of cameras.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro will feature a 50MP main Sony IMX766 sensor (f/1.88) with OIS support. Whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ gets a new 200MP Samsung HPX sensor (f/1.65) with OIS support. The remaining two sensors are the same on all three models with 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. All three devices will ship with a 16MP selfie shooter. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner with IR Blaster support.
The connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a linear motor, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Redmi Note 12 Pro & Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus packs 5000 mAh batteries with 67W and 120W fast charge support respectively. It will arrive in Black, Blue, and Pink colors.
All three devices still run on Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.
