Realme has announced the launch of its GT Neo 5 smartphone. On the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the brand teased its upcoming offering. It is unclear when the device will launch, but it is expected to arrive next month in its native country. The GT Neo 5 is also the world’s first smartphone to support 240W fast charging, according to Realme. Last month, the brand unveiled the technology.
Its arrival next month and fast charging technology are the only details revealed in the poster. In the past, the device has appeared in leaks and on certification sites. It will be the successor to last year’s Realme GT Neo 3. As the number ‘4’ is considered unlucky in China, the GT Neo 4 moniker will not be used.
GT Neo 5 is expected to debut on February 8th, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav. In the coming days, we will learn when the official launch will take place.
Last month, a poster of the Realme GT Neo 5 appeared on Weibo, revealing that it would be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Sony’s IMX890 primary camera sensor will support optical image stabilization (OIS).
