Motorola has launched a number of new phones in its G-series in global markets. The G73 5G, G53 5G, G23, and G13 are among them. As the more expensive device in the lineup, the Moto G73 5G stands out. This is the successor to the G72, which was launched last year. Over its predecessor, the latest offering boasts upgraded specifications. Last month, the Moto G53 5G debuted in China, and its global variant features the same specifications.

Design:

The new Moto G53 looks no different when compared with any other previously launched devices. From the front, the new Moto G53 features a center punch-hole display with thicker bezels surrounding the display. On the back, there are dual rear cameras under the oval-shaped camera module with LED flash. It measures 8.19 mm thick & weighs 184g.

The power button with volume rockers is on the right side of the device. The USB Type-C Port with speaker mesh & secondary mic on the bottom of the device.

Specs:

The new Moto G53 will sport massive 6.53 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike the predecessor, the new Moto G53 is powered by an SD480+ SoC. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage space with microSD card support.

The device features a 50MP main sensor coupled with a 2MP macro sensor with LED flash. It features an 8MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole display.  The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with IP52 certification making it water-resistant.

The connectivity options include Dual Band Wifi, 5G, 4G LTE, FM Radio, Dual SIM support, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.0. The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charge support. It runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.

Moto G73:

The Moto G73 will look identical in terms of design when compared with its predecessor. On the front, the new Moto G72 will feature a center punch-hole display with slimmer bezels. The power button along with the volume rockers is placed on the right.

 

The back of the device features a typical Motorola-styled triple-camera layout aligned vertically under an oval-shaped camera module. The bottom of the device features a USB Type-C port along with a speaker mesh. It measures 8.29 mm thick & weighs 181g.

Specs:

The new Moto G73 will sport massive 6.5 inches FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike the predecessor, the new Moto G73 comes with 5G support it is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC. It is coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.

It also gets a stereo speaker along with IP52 certification making it water-resistant. The device features a 50MP main sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with LED flash. It features a 16MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole display. There are dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The connectivity options include Dual Band Wifi, 5G, 4G LTE, FM Radio, Dual SIM support, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.3. The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 30W fast charge support. It runs on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Pricing:

Moto G73 5G starts at EUR 299 (Rs.26,600/-) for the base model, while Moto G53 5G starts at EUR 249 (Rs.22,200/-) for the base model. While the former comes in Midnight Blue and Lucent White, the latter comes in Pale Pink, Ink Blue, and Arctic Silver. In the coming weeks, both smartphones will also be available in Latin America and Asia.
