This Motorola-made smartphone that looks like a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop is the Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola.

Design:

In a pre-release marketing render, the ThinkPhone is shown with three rear-facing cameras set within a curved back panel. A centered punch-hole front-facing camera and a fingerprint scanner are also built into the device’s flat display.

Make no mistake – this is not your regular black phone. You can get the ThinkPhone in any color as long as it’s Carbon Black. A special red key lets you open the Walkie Talkie app through Microsoft Teams or an app for your business or field. Aramid fiber is used for the back panel (which is lightweight and stronger than steel), while aluminum is used for the frame. Gorilla Glass Victus covers the front. A ThinkPhone logo finishes off the back.

It is also IP68 and MIL-STD 810H certified, so it can survive a drop of 1.25 meters and a swim of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

Features:

ThinkPhone goes beyond branding. Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops are truly integrated with this solution, which has Motorola’s Ready For connectivity built in. The ThinkPhone can be synced to your ThinkPad so that you can copy text, photos, and documents, drag and drop files, share notifications, use the phone as a webcam, and open Android apps on your Windows laptop.

Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams apps will be preloaded on the ThinkPhone.

With the Moto KeySafe, you can store PINs, passwords, crypto keys, and other sensitive data in a tamper-resistant environment.

IT admins can remotely configure Lenovo ThinkPhones for business clients using Moto OEMConfig or Moto Device Manager.

Specs:

It features a 6.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400x1080px and a refresh rate of 144Hz. HDR10+ is also supported by the screen.

This phone features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage.

The Lenovo ThinkPhone has a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with four-to-one pixel bins for resulting 2.0μm pixels. Both PDAF and OIS are available on this camera. Also included is a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide with Macro Vision. A 32MP selfie camera with autofocus is located on the other end.

It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The box includes a wired charger.

The Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola will soon be available in the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, and select Asian countries. Because it’s a B2B device, you won’t find it in your local electronics store just yet. Lenovo hasn’t revealed the price just yet.
