Last week, Xiaomi launched its Redmi 12C budget smartphone in China. The phone will be released in Indian shores next month, according to sources close to 91mobiles. It is expected that the Indian unit will have a similar design and specifications to the Chinese model.

Before MWC 2023 in Barcelona takes place between February 27th and March 2nd, Redmi 12C will launch in India. It is expected to have the same hardware configuration as its Chinese counterpart.

The new Redmi 12C will sport 6.71 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

 

It features a 50MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, a micro USB port, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 12 OS without any custom skin on top. The device measures 8.7 mm thick and weighs 192g.
