On February 7, OnePlus 11 will be announced globally at the Cloud 11 event in India. Although it will be the star of the show, some attention will also be drawn to the more affordable OnePlus 11R. Despite their different hardware specs, the two handsets are expected to look very similar, at least based on a new leaked image.
According to Ice Universe, the OnePlus ACE 2 will be called the OnePlus 11R globally. OnePlus ACE was rebranded internationally as OnePlus 10R. OnePlus 11R looks essentially the same as the standard OnePlus 11, with a few differences.
The camera island lacks Hasselblad branding and the telephoto camera appears to be missing. In addition, the glittery texture on the back has been replaced with a matt finish. The brand’s goal is to make the OnePlus 11R more affordable, so these changes make sense. To create differentiation and lower the cost of affordable devices, OnePlus reserves Hasselblad-tuned cameras for premium devices.
The OnePlus 11R will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, according to a recent teaser from OnePlus. This processor is not the latest from the semiconductor company, but it is still one of the most powerful and capable. Last year, SD 8+ Gen 1 powered the majority of flagships, including the OnePlus 10T and Galaxy Z 4 foldable.
The OnePlus 11R will not match the performance of the OnePlus 11, which has the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. As a result, the 11R should be more affordable than the standard model.
Specs:
No other specifications of the OnePlus R series smartphone have been revealed by the company. We already know everything thanks to various leaks and rumors. In addition to an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the smartphone could boast a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with curved edges. There might be a 16MP camera encased in a center-punched hole in the display.
