Acer announced a smart speaker along with a number of new laptops at the ongoing CES 2023. Known as the Acer Halo Swing smart speaker, it is the successor to the 2020 model. The speaker has smart features and is portable.
With its leather handle, the Acer Halo Swing is a cylindrical speaker that is easy to carry around. The device is IPX5-certified water-resistant. On the fabric cover is a LED Dot display that displays information and assistant results such as weather, calendar, mail, and reminders. While listening to music and interacting with the assistant, RGB lighting illuminates the speaker’s base.
360-degree speakers with enhanced bass are featured on the Acer Halo Swing. Enhanced audio is provided by DTS technology. For a more immersive experience, other speakers can be used to play music in a group. With Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi-6 connectivity, users can pair the smart speaker quickly. Aux-in is also available.
Additionally, the Acer Halo Swing boasts smart features such as the ability to set alarms, control smart devices in the house, and plan your day. With omnidirectional far-field microphones, it is capable of capturing voice commands easily. According to the brand, the device has a USB-C port for charging and a 10-hour battery life.
In the US, the Acer Halo Swing costs $229. As of now, it is unknown when the smart speaker will be available.
