After a delay, we finally have the 2023 premium flagship from Xiaomi aka the Xiaomi 13 series. Yet again we got only two new flagships this year too with Xiaomi 13 & Xiaomi 13 Pro. So for the Ultra, we need to wait longer which will launch later next year.
Xiaomi 13:
Xiaomi 13 comes with a smaller 6.36 inches center punch-hole flat display on the front. It gets quad-curved edges with slimmer bezels surrounding the display. On the back, we got triple rear cameras under the weird-looking rectangular module. Overall the device looks like iPhone 14 series as it got almost flat edges on all sides. It has got a faux leather finish on the back.
It measures 7.98mm thick & weighs 189g. The Xiaomi 13 sports a smaller 6.36 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets 12-bit colors, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 1900-nits brightness.
The Xiaomi 13 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Xiaomi 13 features a 50MP f/1.9 aperture Sony IMX800 main sensor with OIS support. It comes with 12MP ultra-wide sensor with a 123-degree FOV along with a 10MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture & OIS.
Again the Xiaomi 13 features the same old 32MP selfie shooter as its predecessor.
The Xiaomi 13 packs a 4500 mAh battery with 67W fast wired & 50W wireless charging support. It also gets 10W reverse wireless charging support. The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 4G LTE & 5G support, NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6e, and USB Type-C port with X-axis linear motor. It also gets stereo speakers powered by Harmon Kardon. It runs on MIUI 14 with Android 13 OS out of the box. This time the Xiaomi 13 also gets IP68 certified making it dust and water-resistant.
The Xiaomi 13 cost 3999 Yuan (Rs.47,200/-), 8GB+256GB at 4299 Yuan (Rs.51,000/-) & 12GB+256GB at 4599 Yuan (Rs.55,500/-) in China.
Xiaomi 13 Pro:
The new Xiaomi 13 Pro will look identical to Xiaomi 13 in terms of design and comes with a quad-curved display. It measures 8.38mm thick & weighs 229g. The device got a glass back with metal chassis giving it a premium feel.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro sports a larger 6.73 inches QHD+ AMOLED (3200 × 1440p) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets 12-bit colors, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 1900-nit brightness.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Xiaomi 13 Pro features a 50MP f/1.9 aperture IMX989 1-inch main sensor with OIS support. It comes with 50MP ultra-wide sensor with a 115-degree FOV along with a 50MP Human eye lens with a 28mm focal length & f/1.9 aperture with HyperOIS support.
