Meta’s WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging platform, will stop supporting over 40+ devices on December 31st. By the end of the year, WhatsApp will stop supporting over 40 phones, including phones from popular brands such as Apple and Samsung, which are owned by Meta.

Due to the outdated software on the below-mentioned phones, WhatsApp will not be able to keep the app running smoothly as WhatsApp intends. All of the phones on the list are Android phones – all of which are quite old. Check out the complete list of devices that will lose WhatsApp support after December 31st.

The list shows that 47 smartphones will no longer support WhatsApp after December 31, 2022. Additionally, there are a number of LG and Samsung phones on the list, along with two iPhone models. There are a few smartphones on the list that are too old, so we expect a small number to be affected. In 2023, you will have to get a new phone if you still own any of the phones mentioned above.
