Xiaomi unveiled today the Redmi K60 top-tier smartphone and the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed midrange smartphone. A Redmi Watch 3 with a larger screen, a Band 2 with a thin and light body, and Buds 4 Lite in fancy colors were also introduced on the stage.
Redmi Watch 3:
The wearable comes with a 1.75″ diagonal square-ish AMOLED display. The display supports a 60 Hz refresh rate and has 341 PPI. Redmi claims it can reach a brightness of 600 nits. It has flat sides, as is the current trend in smartphones, and one hard button.
It boasts an Always-On Display, and over 200 watch faces can be selected while it is powered up.
In addition to continuous monitoring of SpO2 (blood oxygen) and heart rate, Xiaomi improved the battery of the Watch 3 so that it can last up to 12 days on a single charge. As well as being underwater-certified at 5 ATM, the device also works with GNSS to allow for precise sports tracking.
The wearable has 121 different workout modes, and it has GPS navigation, so it can work independently without a smartphone companion. For Bluetooth calls, a phone is required, and the company also added a noise-reduction microphone.
Redmi Watch 3 is priced at 499 Yuan (Rs.6000/-). You can choose between Black and White but there are three colorful straps that can be added extra for 69 Yuan (Rs.820/-).
Redmi Buds 4 Lite:
As they are advertised for young audiences who love bright colors, these earbuds are also known as Youth in Chinese.
With their 12 mm driver, these Buds 4 Lite deliver deep sound and smart noise reduction. There is a total battery life of up to 20 hours with both buds and case, which weigh just 3.9 grams each. Besides Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, these buds are IP54-certified to keep their water and dust-proof.
It comes in two colors, White and Black, which are pretty plain. Two of the more interesting options are Orange, which has brightly colored buds and a green case with only the buds and the interior painted the same color.
Until the end of the year, the price will be 139 Yuan (Rs.1,700/-); thereafter, it will be 149 Yuan (Rs.1800/-).
Redmi Band 2:
Now that this wearable is available, it has become harder to distinguish between a smartwatch and a smart band. It has a 1.47″ screen, which is 76% bigger than the first Redmi Band. It weighs 14.9 grams and measures 9.99 mm thick.
Despite not supporting Bluetooth calls, this device has fancy features like blood oxygen measurements and a menstrual cycle tracker. It has more than 30 exercise modes, and the battery lasts six days when used heavily or almost 14 days when used normally.
Until the end of 2022, the Redmi Band 2 will cost 159 Yuan (Rs.1900/-), then it will increase to 169(Rs.2000/-). Fluorescent Green, Pink Gold, Black, Light Blue, Dark Green, and White are the six color options.
