According to Redmi’s Weibo post yesterday, it will arrive as a 2023 New Year’s gift, which suggests it will launch soon. According to the company, the Redmi K60 will debut on Dec. 27 at 7 pm (local time). The company also released a poster showing off the design.
The Redmi K60 lineup will be announced by Xiaomi on December 27 in China. On Weibo, the brand confirmed the date as well as the lack of a gaming version for the new series.
Redmi did not specify which of the three phones it showed in the poster below. K60e, K60, and K60 Pro may have similar rear designs.
According to the poster, the Redmi K60 series has a rectangle-shaped camera module with three cameras and a pill-shaped LED flash. There is a microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker grille on top. On the back of the device, there is a textured design.
In addition to the triple camera on the back, Redmi will offer a periscope shooter with the K60. The sub-brand teased on its Weibo page that its flagship smartphone is now good enough for mobile gaming and no dedicated version is needed.
We hope to learn more about the event in four days through official teasers. William Lu, Redmi’s brand manager, revealed that a Dimensity 8200 processor will be found in one of the phones.
Redmi K60 Pro:
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform will power the Redmi K60 Pro. According to the poster below, the K60 Pro will have 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. As a result, it seems that the K60 Pro will have a similar grade of performance as other flagship phones with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
In addition, the K60 Pro contains a 5,000mm2 vapor-chamber liquid cooling area made of stainless steel. There is no need for a gaming phone with the K60 Pro, the company says. The K60 Gaming will be replaced by the K60 Pro.
