Introducing the Lenovo ThinkPhone would expand Lenovo’s ThinkPad brand to smartphones. Apparently, Evan Blass leaked information about the ThinkPhone, which is rumored to contain high-end hardware and maybe a Motorola Edge 40 Series sibling.

Design:

In a pre-release marketing render, the ThinkPhone is shown with three rear-facing cameras set within a curved back panel. A centered punch-hole front-facing camera and a fingerprint scanner are also built into the device’s flat display.

Specs:

It appears that the ThinkPhone has an AMOLED or OLED display rather than an IPS one. Display resolution is expected to be 1080p, with up to 12 GB of RAM, along with a 50 MP main camera, 13 MP ultra-wide angle, 2 MP depth, and 16 MP front-facing camera.

While Evan Blass claims the ThinkPhone will almost certainly be a member of the Edge series, there is a possibility that it could have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, rather than the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 as previously suggested.

It is expected that Lenovo will unveil the ThinkPhone in 2023. Due to Lenovo’s global presence, the device is likely to be available in a range of countries.

It looks like the Lenovo ThinkPhone will be a formidable smartphone with high-end hardware and impressive camera and display features. In the event it does launch under the ThinkPad branding, it will be interesting to see how consumers respond to it and whether it will be able to compete with other smartphones.
