Xiaomi’s 13 series launch date has finally been confirmed after months of leaks. On Dec. 1, the Chinese manufacturer will announce the phone at 7 p.m. (local time). Along with the Xiaomi 13 series, the Watch S2, Buds 4 TWS earbuds, and MIUI 14 will also be announced.
Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro last December. This year, there will likely be no successor to the Xiaomi 12X. Two models will be included in the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro lineups.
The Xiaomi 13 is shown below in a leaked render. In the image, we can see the phone’s design and color options. Considering that the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a larger version of the Xiaomi 13, both phones are expected to have identical designs.
Xiaomi has confirmed that its 13 series will have super-slim bezels. The bottom bezel measures only 1.61mm, suggesting that it could be as thin as the upper bezel. These renders were not authenticated.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform will power the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. There is no information on whether the Xiaomi 13 series will be preloaded with MIUI 14. MIUI 14 will be rolled out to this device if not already.
Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Watch S2 specifications are unknown at this time. In China, Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro is already available for 1,099 Yuan (Rs.12,500/-). Hence, the Buds 4 may be more affordable at around 500 Yuan (Rs.5600/-). You can choose from black, white, or green.
