Most of the top Android OEMs are preparing to launch new flagship smartphones. Similarly, Vivo is launching its Vivo X90 series soon.
The X90 series has been rumored for a few days now. According to yesterday’s announcement, the phones are powered by a Snapdragon chipset.
Yesterday, MediaTek unveiled its Dimensity 9200 SoC. This is the latest premium mobile chipset from Taiwan’s chipmaker.
Vivo announced shortly after the announcement that it would release a smartphone sporting this chip. The brand did not reveal the device’s name.
According to Whylab, the Dimenisty 9200 chipset could power the upcoming Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip may also be featured in the Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro Plus, according to the same Weibo post.
As a result, both Dimensity and Snapdragon variants of the Vivo X90 Pro may be available. Whylab is known for reliable leaks, so the information provided may be mostly true.
Additionally, a live image leak from yesterday revealed the Vivo X90 Pro+ will be available in red with leather finishes. In addition to the chipset details, WhyLab shared a picture that appears to be an official teaser of the design.
In the next few days, we will likely see more leaks about the Vivo X90 series. The features may also be officially teased by Vivo.
Vivo X90 Pro Plus:
A leak of its camera specifications has surfaced online ahead of the launch of the Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the X90 Pro+ 5G will feature some top-of-the-line camera hardware. There will be a 1-inch 50MP main camera on the X90 Pro+, according to the tipster. It uses the same Sony IMX989 sensor as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Besides the main camera, the phone also has a 48MP ultra-wide camera. There will be two telephoto cameras. It will feature a 50MP sensor and a 2x optical zoom. An additional telephoto lens will be a 64MP periscope camera. X90 series cameras will have 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensors, according to reports.
Also included is the V2 custom ISP, which is said to improve low-light and portrait camera performance. Moreover, the device will use Zeiss’ T* coating.
There have been other leaks of the X90 Pro+ 5G in the past. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. There will be support for 120Hz refresh rates. A hole-punch cutout is also said to be located in the top center of the display for the front camera.
