It has only been a few days since MediaTek Dimensity 9200’s key specifications were revealed by Digital Chat Station. This new chipset will be a major competitor to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Apple’s Bionic A16 SoC. A number of improvements will enhance the chipset’s performance and efficiency.
Based on TSMC’s 4nm process, the chipset will incorporate the Immortalis-G715 GPU. One Cortex X1 core is clocked at 3.05GHz, three Cortex A715 cores are clocked at 2.85GHz, and four economy Cortex A510 cores are clocked at 2.0GHz. Enhanced network speed and better cameras are also said to be part of the configuration.
As for the Immortalis-G715 GPU, it uses ray tracing hardware to provide improved depth effects for lights and shadows. As a result of the build process and MediaTek’s technology, the device has been able to increase performance and efficiency in an exciting manner. Vivo X90 will launch with the new chipset soon.
According to a recent Manhattan ES 3.0 off-screen benchmark, the Dimensity 9200 GPU outperformed the Apple Bionic A16 SoC. Dimensity 9200 achieved 328 frames per second, while Apple A16 achieved 280 frames per second, and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 achieved 280 frames per second.
Compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9000, this GPU is significantly faster. According to reports, the GPU performance of the new MediaTek flagship will be comparable to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
