Samsung released its first One UI 5 update based on Android 13 to the Galaxy S22 family on October 24, two months and almost ten days after Google released Android 13. Since then, the Korean company has updated a variety of devices.
Samsung has released One UI 5 at the fastest rate ever, and the Korean company has been impressive in its efforts to cover as many devices as possible and not just focus on its flagships this year and leave the midrange until 2023. However, it wants to do even better next year.
Earlier today, Samsung published a post boasting how fast One UI 5 has been released to as many devices as possible, as well as promising future One UI versions to come even faster and to more devices.
Despite the fact that this isn’t a concrete promise, we have no doubt Samsung means what it says, from what we’ve seen this year software updates are now Samsung’s top priority. Despite being one of the worst Android OEMs when it comes to updates just a few years ago, it is now one of the best, and it looks like it wants to improve even further.
Aside from the Galaxy Z Fold2, Samsung revealed that the Galaxy A52s 5G and Galaxy A32 will receive One UI 5 with Android 13 this year. By the end of this month, the new software will be available to the Galaxy S20 and Note20 families worldwide.
