Samsung Galaxy A23 5G launched earlier this year in the US and Europe. Samsung has launched a new version for the Japanese market with a smaller display, MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, and IP68 protection.

The new Galaxy A23 5G comes with 5.8 inches FHD+ TFT LCD display with support of a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage options. It also gets MicroSD card support for further storage expansion.
The new Galaxy A23 5G features a 50MP single camera this time when compared with quad cameras on the European model. It comes with a 5MP selfie shooter under the notch.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, 4G LTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The Galaxy A23 5G packs the lower 4000 mAh battery with 15W fast charge support and runs on Android 12 OS. It comes with 5G SA/NSA with support for 11 5G bands.
The device also gets an IP68 rating making it dust and water-resistant also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy A23 5G will arrive in three colors black, red, and white & cost JPY 32,800 (Rs.19,000/-) in Japan.
