Qualcomm recently confirmed that the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S series will exclusively use Snapdragon chipsets. But the South Korean company is not on the verge of discontinuing its Exynos brand of mobile chips.
This is confirmed by a new finding. Two new Exynos chipsets may be announced by Samsung soon.
Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 are two new Samsung Exynos SoCs spotted on Bluetooth SIG.
It is likely that they are mid-range chipsets as their name suggests. Samsung’s Exynos 1380 could be the successor to the Exynos 1280 found in the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy M33.
Meanwhile, the Exynos 1330 could replace either the Exynos 850 or the Exynos 880.
These two SoCs are listed on Bluetooth SIG as supporting Bluetooth 5.3. Samsung Bluetooth Controller v6 will be used to support Bluetooth 5.3.
According to SamMobile, the Exynos 1380 may have at least two high-performance ARM Cortex-A cores. An integrated 5G modem and an ARM Mali-G615 CPU might also be included.
Samsung’s Galaxy A34 and A54 are expected to use Exynos 1380 processors. Other mid-range Galaxy M and Galaxy F phones may also contain it.
