Redmi launched its Note 12 series of smartphones in China last month. There are three models in the series: the vanilla Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. According to the FCC database, the Note 12 Pro+ 5G global variant will be released soon worldwide. Tipster Mukul Sharma has now revealed the series’ expected global launch date.

Sharma tweeted recently that serial production of the Redmi Note 12 series has begun in several Asian and European regions. We can expect the devices to launch in these markets in December or early next year, according to the tipster. Some markets may launch these devices with different names. According to a report, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will debut in India as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge.

Redmi Note 12 Pro series:

The new Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Explorer Edition will sport 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a peak brightness of 900 nits and supports 10-bit colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+.

All three devices are powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space. Here comes the change where the three devices get different pairs of cameras.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro will feature a 50MP main Sony IMX766 sensor (f/1.88) with OIS support. Whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ & Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition gets a new 200MP Samsung HPX sensor (f/1.65) with OIS support. The remaining two sensors are the same on all three models with 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. All three devices will ship with a 16MP selfie shooter. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner with IR Blaster support.

The connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a linear motor, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Redmi Note 12 Pro & Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus packs 5000 mAh battery with 67W and 120W fast charge support respectively. Lastly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer will pack a 4300 mAh battery and whopping 210W fast charge support.

All three devices still run on Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.
