After a month the Pixel 7 series was launched, and Google Pixel 8 leaks have begun. WinFuture reports that the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will have the codenames “Shiba” and “Husky”. Google appears to be going after big dog names for next year’s flagship phones after having codenames of cats for the Pixel 7 series.
Also, WinFuture claims to know some Pixel 8 specifications. The specifications listed here are very early and may change as the development of the phone progresses. Android 14, codenamed “Upside Down Cake,” is one of the guaranteed specifications.

It is also reported that the Pixel 8 will ship with a new processor, called Zuma. There is no doubt that this is the Tensor G3 chipset. Samsung’s Tensor G2 modem may be used in the Tensor G3. Currently, Tensor G3 chipset specifications are not known.
Pixel 8 is expected to have a resolution of 2268 x 1080, while Pixel 8 Pro could have a resolution of 2822 x 1344. QHD+ panels could be used on the latter model, while FHD+ screens could be used on the base model. With 1080p panels on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, these resolutions make sense. The screens on the Pro models are 1440p.
Pixel 8 leaks are very early, but as we said, they could change significantly as we get closer to the launch. Stay tuned for more information.
