OPPO is developing a series of smartphones called Reno 9. It has been reported that the Reno 9 family may become official in China as early as November. The alleged specifications of the Reno 9 have been leaked by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station well ahead of its launch.
Specs:
OPPO Reno 9 could be the phone with the PHM110 model number, according to the tipster. The display will be 6.7 inches and will have a curved-edge design. The screen has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset and 12 GB of RAM, it will be capable of consuming significant amounts of data.
It featured a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera. The Reno 9 will also have a selfie snapper. OmniVision’s OV64B camera will be mounted on its rear shell. There is no mention of the device’s auxiliary cameras in the leak. Previously leaked images of the Reno 9 are shown above.
It will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Compared to the Reno 8, that’s a downgrade. There will be an under-display fingerprint scanner for security. Android 13 is likely to come preloaded on it.
Reno8 comparison:
The Reno 8’s main camera has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, and it also has a 4.500mAh battery that can charge at 80W and has a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ 90Hz display. Reno 9 leaks indicate that while the charging system has been downgraded, the display will be upgraded.
Reno 9 Pro and Reno 9 Pro+ models are likely to accompany Reno 9. Currently, there is no information about the Pro and Pro+ versions.
