Motorola launched the Moto X30 in China in December 2021. Lenovo-owned company is working on a successor to its X30, the Moto X40. Recently, the handset appeared on China’s 3C certification website. Several key specifications of the upcoming smartphone have been shared by a popular tipster today.
A tipster on Weibo revealed that the upcoming Moto X40 smartphone will feature an FHD + display and will run Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset (via ITHome). Furthermore, the device is claimed to have a 50MP primary camera.
A tipster also suggests that the Moto X40 will be low-priced and could be an affordable smartphone running Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Recent 3C certifications have revealed the alleged Moto X40 with model number XT2301-5. A 68W fast charging capability was revealed in the listing. Like its predecessor, the X40 could launch as the Moto Edge 40 Pro in the global market.
The Moto X40 hasn’t been officially confirmed by Motorola, so take the above information with a grain of salt. The device should be revealed in the coming days.
