It’s been reported that Oppo is developing a next-generation Reno 9 smartphone. There have already been several leaks and rumors revealing the handset’s specifications as well as its retail box. In a recent leak, we also got a glimpse at the smartphone’s camera array. New images of the OPPO Reno 9 have surfaced online, which reveal its design and appearance.
Weibo user Panda has posted what appears to be a live image of OPPO Reno 9 (via @ZionsAnvin). We managed to retrieve the images after the tipster deleted them.
In these images, the camera module of the device matches the previously leaked image. It looks pretty similar to the last-generation device. There are two large and one small camera cutouts as well as a ring-shaped LED flash. In addition, the handset has an additional flash, which may have a different color temperature. A center-punched hole houses the selfie camera on the front.
According to previous reports, the device may include a 64MP primary camera. The chipset will likely be the Snapdragon 778G. The Pro model may be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip. The primary camera, it is said to have a Sony IMX766 sensor with 50MP. The batteries in both devices could be 4,500mAh in capacity.
It is still unclear what the Reno 9 will look like. According to reports, it will debut in China in Q4. As of yet, OPPO has not confirmed any details about the upcoming series. In the coming days, we look forward to learning more.
