Apple began diversifying its supply chain in recent years and moved production for products like iPhones from China to other regions such as India. AirPods and Beats are also expected to be produced in the region, it appears.

According to Reuters, the Cupertino-based company is planning to manufacture new Beats headphones in India. As well, the iPhone maker is reportedly planning to relocate AirPods production to the country, according to sources. According to reports, Luxshare Precision Industry, an Apple supplier, will also produce AirPods in India.
Meanwhile, Foxconn will manufacture Beats headphones in the region. Currently, Luxshare is focusing on raising the production of AirPods in Vietnam, so it might take longer to move its operations to India. Apple has been planning to move some of its production from China already, including the iPhone 14 model, which will be made there soon.
The company is working on reducing its reliance on China, its primary manufacturing hub. Several of its major suppliers have set up operations in India, Mexico, and Vietnam since then. Having the production in India will also allow the company to avoid duties, resulting in lower prices.
