The launch date of the Redmi A1 has been announced in India. On September 6th, it will be unveiled at noon. Redmi 11 Prime will launch alongside the device. The key specifications of Xiaomi’s upcoming offering have been revealed on a microsite. Also confirmed is that Amazon will sell it. FCC, BIS, and Geekbench certification sites have previously listed the smartphone.
Redmi A1 comes in three colours: black, blue, and green. There is a leather texture on the back panel of the device. One sensor is housed in a square camera module along with an LED flash. It appears that the smartphone has a compact design. On the left side, there is a SIM card holder, and on the right, there is a power button and a volume button. In addition, it is unclear whether the power button will be embedded with a fingerprint scanner.
Redmi A1 has a waterdrop notch on the front and a thick chin at the bottom. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery inside. Despite being teased to have an unidentified MediaTek Helio processor, Geekbench suggests it might have the Helio A22 along with 3GB RAM.
The rest of the details about the Redmi A1 remain a mystery. Xiaomi’s Redmi A1 smartphone is expected to be an entry-level model.
