Today, Vivo announced it will unveil the Plus model of the X Fold foldable smartphone next week – on September 26. The launch event will take place in China at 7 p.m. local time.
According to vivo, the “+” in the X Fold+ means “strong will evolve in a stronger way.” Vivo may be hinting at durability improvements in the Plus model or something else.
In addition to the image, Vivo also revealed the design of the X Fold Plus. This smartphone will look similar to the vivo X Fold, but will also come in red. There were two colors available for the regular model: black and blue.
It’s unclear what the X Fold Plus’ specs sheet will be, but we know it will come with an 80W wired charger and a 50W wireless charger. According to AnTuTu, the X Fold+ will have 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 120Hz screen.
The vivo X Fold+ will have the same features as the X Fold, except for a new chip, a larger battery, faster-wired charging, and a new color. Vivo might reveal more about it before the September 26 event.
