Xiaomi is now planning to introduce a cheaper tablet under the sub-brand Redmi. Previously we saw press images leaked officially by Xiaomi on Twitter. Now we have a massive leak revealing the launch details for India of the cheaper Redmi Pad.
The news was shared on Twitter by a known tipster named Mukul Sharma. According to @stufflistings, the new tablet will be released next month. In India, the Redmi Pad will be officially released around the first week of October 2022. Additionally, he said this was a budget tablet, but he didn’t share any other details about it.
Redmi Pad is expected to have an 11-inch LCD panel with a 2K resolution, according to what we know so far. MediaTek’s MT8781 chip powers the device, which is expected to offer performance similar to the Helio G99 SoC. This new tablet comes with a 7,800mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
Also expected to launch is a 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. Besides running Android 12 OS, the device is expected to run MIUI 3 out of the box. As for colors, it will apparently come in three, Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.
