Just days ago, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Motorola launched their latest foldable phones, and the Google Pixel Fold has also resurfaced. It appears that Oppo is working on two bendable phones. Now we have an official teaser posted by none other than Pete Lau about the upcoming OnePlus Fold.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said in 2020 that foldable phones weren’t ready for prime time, and the company had no plans to launch a foldable phone at the time. Although the company had researched the form factor, it wanted to wait until technology improved to use it.

Since the Oppo Find N won’t challenge Samsung’s best foldable phones because it is China-exclusive, it is no surprise that the OnePlus Fold rumours started swirling soon after launch.
The company’s software lead Gary Chen confirmed those rumours earlier this year, saying that OxygenOS 13 would run on Android 13.
On Twitter, Lau posted a couple of pictures, asking, “What do you think?”?”.
It looks more like Oppo Find N’s hinge than Z Fold 3’s hinge.
The OnePlus Fold might end up being a rebranded version of the Find N with OxygenOS instead of ColorOS, since BBK-owned OnePlus and Oppo have been collaborating closely on everything from the design to software.
In light of the fact that the Find N is not widely available, most OnePlus fans won’t mind. More teasers are on the way. Earlier reports indicated that the device would be released in 2023.
