There is a lot of information about the upcoming Moto Razr 2022 and Moto X30 Pro from Motorola (but not so much about the Moto S30 Pro). Razr’s price was revealed today by the General Manager of Lenovo’s Mobile division in China.
Yes, the new Moto Razr 2022 will be priced at CNY 6,000 (equivalent to $888, €870, or Rs.75,000). For foldable, this price tag is considered the “sweet spot.”.
The phone will also be available in 8/256GB and 12/512GB configurations. To be clear, the phones aren’t officially official yet – the actual unveiling will take place at 14:00 tomorrow (China time), and they’ll be available for offline and online sale at 20:00.
Moto Razr 2022 has the first foldable with 144Hz (all 6.7” of it), has a 2.7” cover display, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a 50MP 1/1.55” main sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. The hinge design leaves no gap when closed, the phone has a 2.7” cover display.
GM posted this teaser image for the Moto S30 Pro – can you figure out what the numbers mean? As with the Razr, the “1.55” is likely to refer to a 1/1.55″ sensor. With some digits blanked out with an “x”, the rest will take some guesswork.
The first number on the second row explains that the phone will have a 6.55″ display. It is likely that “7.xx” refers to the thickness in millimeters. Tomorrow, we’ll find out for sure if “4.0” refers to Motorola’s My UX.
Here’s how the Moto X30 Pro looks in white. The camera is based on Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor (1/1.22″), which looks like this when not in a phone:
